Love and Fear: Meeting Suffering with Equanimity
Love and Fear: Meeting Suffering with Equanimity
At the very root of our disconnection is anxiety and a ground of fear. It pervades our personal lives, our relationships, and permeates society, in obvious and subtle ways creating distance between one another and within ourselves.
How can we fully feel our fear without becoming it? Can we allow love and equanimity to fuel our fearlessness and begin to reconnect us to what is here?
We all experience fear and we also have the capacity for fearlessness. We can learn to skillfully navigate all of our experiences and learn to create meaningful connections through a love that is genuine, spacious, strong, and communal.
Koshin and Chodo invite us to face our challenging emotions without turning our backs on ourselves and each other. When we face what holds us back, we step toward liberation, together.
