SOLD OUT! A guided walk: William Blake's Vision of a New Jerusalem in Kings Cross with Aidan Dun
Aidan Andrew Dun has been called a visionary poet. His exploration of the mysteries of Kings Cross in the epic poem ‘Vale Royal’ have caused a groundswell of interest in this extraordinary zone of London.
Yet Aidan is not the first poet to fall under the spell of London NW1. William Blake, Thomas Chatterton, Arthur Rimbaud, PB Shelley and WB Yeats have all felt the transformative influence of this place. Each of these poets could be said to have passed through a mystic portal in Kings Cross.
Aidan will take us on a guided walk in Kings Cross to explore the mysteries of Old St Pancras Church which was central to Blake's vision of a New Jerusalem.
In the church Aidan will offer a talk with a focus on the prophet William Blake and his revolutionary idea of a ‘map of consciousness’ which relates directly to London.
Aidan will deconstruct his famous Golden Quatrain which begins:
The fields from Islington to Marybone
To Primrose Hill and Saint John’s Wood
Discover Aidan’s profound personal connection with this holy ground, revealing its supernatural signature and its secret spiritual history.
