The Meditation Room: A Day of Experiential Meditation
The Meditation Room: A Day of Experiential Meditation
The core daily practice for many spiritual seekers is meditation.
At Alternatives, we have hosted many meditation teachers in the last 40 years, and they all advise us to experience meditation rather than just talk about it.
In this one-day event, we will experience 4 different types of meditation with 4 different specialist teachers, carefully curated to provide a unique experience and cater to different aspects of your spiritual growth.
You may like to experience this day as a mini-retreat, a restorative day, or as a way to find a new meditation style. The day will be paced with plenty of breaks for refreshments, Q&A and support to ensure the practices of the day can be integrated into your daily practice if you wish.
In the 4 sessions, we will experience a very gentle movement meditation, a silent session, a mindfulness practice, and an immersive Soundbath.
Come along and connect with like-minded individuals on a shared path of spiritual exploration.
A word about the sessions below:
James Raphael: Explore gentle movements in a moving meditation of fluidity and grace. Discover the profound connection between movement and meditation as you flow with intention and find inner stillness.
Paul Heron from Alternatives offers an interlude of silence as an offering for the Meditation Room. Paul says, "I was a police officer in London for many years. It was a challenging and rewarding career, but I always felt like something was missing. I was searching for something deeper, something more meaningful.
I had a kundalini awakening. It was a powerful and transformative experience that changed my life forever. I began to see the world in a new way, and I was filled with a sense of peace and purpose. I experienced deep states of silence, which are forever present, but sometimes hidden by our life’s journey
Since then, I have been on a journey of spiritual seeking. I have explored many different meditative practices; every day brings deeper states of bliss and silence. I have my own meditation studio in Croydon, using mediation, sound and crystals to guide people to peaceful states of mind.
