Holy Trinities: Threefold Models of Reality

Holy Trinities: Threefold Models of Reality
A range of spiritual and religious traditions see the ultimate reality underlying nature and consciousness as three-fold, as in the Sat-Chit-Ananda model in the Indian Vedantic tradition, in the Hindu trinity of gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, as well as in the Christian view of God as Holy Trinity.
This evening, Rupert Sheldrake explores why trinities are such important models. They provide of way of showing how an ultimate unity at the same time has interacting aspects which can be seen as reflected in our own consciousness and in all other forms of consciousness, as well as underlying all the processes of nature, including the nature of atoms, molecules, stars and galaxies, the growth of plants and animals and the creativity of evolution.
