Dreaming with the Masters
Dreaming with the Masters
Robert Moss, the creator of Active Dreaming, invites you to dream with the Masters.
In this new 3 part course, with material drawn from the insights of his upcoming book, delve into a range of cross-cultural dreaming traditions and enrich your understanding of the dreamworld with these mystical insights.
Module 1
Tending Your Personal Oracle with the Bishop of Dreams
“Dream divination is available to all, the good genius to everyone.”
Synesius of Cyrene, On Dreams
You have direct access to sacred knowledge, in your dreams. Your dreams are a personal oracle that reveals the future and helps you prepare for it. Don’t let anyone tell you what your dreams mean; get rid of dream dictionaries. Pay attention to signs from the world around you; know that everything in the universe is interconnected and constantly interweaving. Use your imagination. What you grow there will be stamped on your world and on your soul – on the energy body in which you will travel to another life after death.
Amazingly, these insights come from a fifth-century bishop of the church. His name was Synesius of Cyrene, and his treatise On Dreams, composed around 405, is one of the wisest books ever written on dreams, coincidence and imagination. Synesius was a most unusual bishop. He was a student and lifelong friend of Hypatia, the great woman philosopher of Alexandria. In his life and work we find a confluence between the best of the ancient practice of philosophy and the new religion of the Roman empire.
In this class, we will revive the teaching of this forgotten master and learn how to
- Use dreams as personal oracles
- Meet your Muse
- Make a personal dictionary of symbols
- Keep books of night and day
- “fly higher than eagles” in conscious dream journeys
- Read the sign language of the world in the understanding that the true sage is a person “who understands the relationship of the parts of the universe”.
Module 2
Synchronizing with the Dream Shaman of Switzerland
“Nothing happens in which you are not entangled in a secret manner, for everything has ordered itself around you and plays your innermost. Nothing in you is hidden to things…The stars whisper your deepest mysteries to you, and the soft valleys of the earth rescue you in a motherly womb.”
C.G.Jung, The Red Book
Jung labored to bring together the best of Western science and scholarship with ancient ways of soul travel and soul remembering. Throughout his life, he was guided by dreams and synchronicity, and in this class, we will learn from his practice rather than his theories.
We’ll journey, like Jung, through the many-tiered House of the Soul. We’ll walk with the Sacred Guide, as Jung walked with his Philemon. We’ll meet the Shadow. We’ll discover that dreams unlock the limitless field of nonlocal mind he called the collective unconscious.
We’ll learn to navigate by synchronicity and practice field perception as Jung did when he watched the movements of wind and water, of a fox or a beetle, as he counseled his clients by Lake Zurich.
In this class, you’ll learn how to
- Walk and talk with a Sacred Guide, as Jung walked with Philemon
- Show up for the “meeting with your selves” that dreaming offers
- Journey through many levels of the House of Your Life
- Navigate by synchronicity and awaken to everyday oracles
- Recognize and respond to the play of the archetypes within you and around you
- Use Jung’s method of “active imagination” and Robert’s dream reentry technique to respond to any image that comes to you – including the scary ones – as a portal to healing and empowerment.
- Explore Jung’s conclusion, in his last major essay, that "It is an age-old fact that God speaks, chiefly, through dreams and visions."
Module 3
Dreaming with a Multidimensional Teacher
“You can learn to change your physical environment by learning to change and manipulate your dream environment."
Seth/Jane Roberts, Seth Speaks
The intelligence Jane Roberts called Seth is one of the really great dream educators. He is crystal clear about the important things that go on in dreaming. Consciousness travels outside the body, every night, in dreams. Dreaming, you travel to other realities, no less real (maybe more so) than the physical world.
Dreaming, you may choose from an infinity of probable events those which will become physical. You can tune into parallel selves by waking up to what is going on in your dreams.
Great creativity is "multidimensional art", in which the creative mind is able to draw on the gifts and the energy of many selves, You may be able to borrow strength and skills from parallel selves who made different choices and are walking on other roads in the Many Worlds.
As we study the core teachings of Seth and Jane Roberts’ own Oversoul 7 series you will learn that
- You travel beyond the physical body in dreams in an astral body and other vehicles
- You are living continuous lives in other realities that you glimpse in dreams
- You can connect with other personalities in your multidimensional soul family for mutual benefit
- Reincarnation is for real, but only one of many after-death options, and you mustn't get trapped in linear conceptions of karma because any past or future is a probable reality that can be accessed and changed Now.
- Dreaming is the best preparation for dying. “You are already familiar with all conditions you will meet after death. In the dream state you operate under the same conditions…you may meet after death.”
- Your most important life teacher may be your Oversoul, or Greater Self. When you rise to view your life issues from its perspective, you awaken to a hidden order of events and may bring in a blessed sense of divine comedy.
Completion of this course will fulfill a prerequisite for Robert's Dream Teacher Training, the next cycle commences February 2025
