This is Malcolm's first retreat for Alternatives - here's what to expect:

On the first day we will establish trust, using a number of exercises groups and pairs. Malcolm will be engaging with each participant to find their particular need. He will use dance as a way of breaking down barriers and connecting to ourselves and each other.

On days two and three we will be playing out individual psychodramas and examining the skill set needed to transform the way we communicate and finding the wisdom of the heart in order to  create new neural pathways to create a template for living our lives in a fresh and potent way.  These skills can be adapted to our everyday lives.

On day three we will be taking a half day adventure into the local environment, being together in nature.

The meadows, lush valleys and indigenous forests, form a landscape of great nature, quiet valleys which creates an ideal environment to enjoy the serene beauty.

Its wonderful valleys and verdant mountains invite nature lovers to do any of the marked trails or just wander numerous roads and paths which offer stunning views over the northern coast.

On the final day we will be working together to create an action plan for the future and gain support from each other to carry through actions that will have the potential to transform our lives at home and create healthier relationships.

Malcolm says “To authenticate our own needs and desires and to explore how we see ourselves and the world, we will use psychotherapy, dance, bodywork, sharing, ritual and healing. We will create a vision of hope for the future in a group committed to the nurturing process of reflective honesty, compassionate attention and trust.”
