There may be a lot in the world to feel confused about, but fortunately there is also a lot to be joyful and hopeful about. For instance, there are inspiring organisations like Alternatives around the world that are holding up a torch for connection, hope, possibility and personal transformation. Our events are an opportunity to learn, to grow, to be inspired, and to connect with like-minded people.

Alternatives is about opening up our hearts and minds to new possibilities for living. I remember attending my first Monday evening talk about 12 years ago and felt it was an amazing peaceful and inspiring oasis in the middle of a stressful city. In addition I have met many wonderful friends through attending many talks and workshops. My experience here has helped me not only change my mind but change my life. With the help of many inspiring presenters I have learned over the years to find a deeper sense of connection to myself and clearer direction in life. I cannot fully articulate how powerful this process has been for me over the years. As the landscape of my psyche changed so did my thinking and my perception of the world. As my thinking and perception changed so did my worldly experiences. Old connections fell away and new wonderful friends came to share my reality. As I continue with my journey I realise that I am not alone in wanting to experience a different world, a world of hope, love, peace and wisdom. This is the world that Alternatives is seeking to create with your help.

Each of our events is a little transformational ripple that goes out into the collective. We do hope you will join us and in some way, however small, be a part of the change that is going on now.
